Это – одно из самых важных приложений для мобильного виар. И не потому, что оно какое-то крутое. Дело в том, что именно с помощью приложения Cardboard вы сможете настраивать свой телефон на работу в VR, а так же, именно в нем, вы сможете задать нужный вам QR-код для вашей модели очков. Поэтому я рекомендую ставить его самым первым.
Про настройки qr-кода и зачем он нужен – читайте в отдельном посте. А тут я кратко пройдусь по тому, что ждет вас внутри приложения.
Начало работы
Сразу после установки и запуска приложения у вас появится экран, разделенный на две части и волк, сидящий посередине. Это – так называемая «демка с волком». Если вставить ваш телефон в виртуальные очки, то вы должны увидеть стерео-эффект.
Далее, Cardboard предложит вам настроить ваш телефон на работу со шлемом. Если у вас есть qr-код от производителя – самое время «скормить» его приложению. Если нет – можно пропустить этот шаг и вернуться к нему потом, если что-то будет не так.
Главное: помните, что все настройки отображения других приложений зависят от того, какой код вы сосканировали в Cardboard.
Что внутри
После этого вам откроется меню, по которому можно перемещаться поворотами головы, если у вас есть гироскоп. Если его нет – значит, вам не повезло, потому что перемещаться по меню по-другому у меня не получилось, даже джойстиком.
В самом приложении есть несколько демок – виртуальный тур по музею, множество панорамных фотографий, примеры 3д-моделек. Тут же есть плеер, позволяющий просматривать ваши видео с телефона в формате SBS – на два глаза. Впрочем, он дико неудобный, для видео выберите что-то получше.
Про каталог приложений
Да, еще тут есть каталог приложений. Часть из них Cardboard берет с вашего телефона, образуя этакую библиотеку, но сюда попадают не все приложения, а только сделанные на базе Cardboard SDK (как я понимаю).
Вторую часть каталога образуют приложения, рекомендованные самим гуглом, как наиболее интересные. Поглядывайте, там действительно попадаются занятные вещи, например, именно так я узнал про Planner 5d.
Если Cardboard не запустился…
Бывает так, что работает эта штука не у всех. Но – если оно у вас не запустилось, показывает не то, что надо, и так далее – не расстраивайтесь. На самом деле вы ничего не теряете, потому что таких панорамных фоток – гора, да и зд-моделек тоже валом. При этом ему всё равно можно будет скармливать настойки (если оно хотя бы показывает два черных экрана и шестеренку), потому что часто бывает, что сам Cardboard не пашет, а вот с другими приложениями всё ок.
