Conky archlinux не работает

Проблема с Conky.

Обычные не поддерживают, некоторые виджеты использующие lua заработали, после того как я установил пакет «conky-lua».

Попробуй поставить lua51 из экстра.
pacman -Ss lua
extra/lua 5.2.2-1

extra/lua51 5.1.5-3 [установлен]

у меня как то тоже были траблы с коньками. дело оказалось в этом пакете

Да понятно, что в ручную лучше, я тоже руками правлю конфиг!
Но проблема в том, что некоторые виджеты использующие lua, некорректно работают в archlinux.
А на ubuntu и debian всё нормально!
И хотелось бы узнать в чём проблема, может нужно какой-то пакет установить?

Проблема с Conky.

tchgefest воу воу палехче. не надо так агрессивно, человек попросил помочь просто. у меня тоже этот конфиг работает. подождем ответа от ТС

вот мои коньки, самопальные. луа рисует рамку и бары. Поставил пакеты lua51 и conky-lua-arch.
Conky-lua-arch нормально отображается, все круги рисуются. Но conky_seamod попрежнему не нормально отображается.

Обрати пока внимание на следующие две ошибки
1) Conky: statfs64 ‘/media/Data’: No such file or directory
2) Conky: llua_do_call: function conky_main execution failed: /home/ques/Scripts/seamod_rings.lua:274: attempt to perform arithmetic on local ‘value’ (a nil value)
Реши пока вопрос с первой проблемой.
Если устранишь проблему с путями, а вторая проблема останется, ищи в скрипте где c какой то переменной (PS. точнее local ‘value’) балуются нулем.
PS. У тебя коньки точно установлены правильные (lua). Проверка — $ conky -v

Проблема с conky [РЕШЕНО]

Если использовать темы с картинками, то в kde появляется одна неприятность:
виджет conky либо имеет либо чёрную рамку, либо, если использовать данный код, то весь виджет становится полупрозрачным и выцвевшим.

А с параметром не пробовали? И еще у меня есть параметр

Дык, все верно. Если conky работают без параметра own_window_transparent или он равен on, фон будет иметь заданный в own_window_colour цвет — черный под дефолту.
В вашем случае own_window_transparent yes делает фон прозрачным, а (внимание!) own_window_argb_visual yes — прозрачным само окно conky. Удалите эту настройку или скормите ей no.

Чёрная рамка вссеравно осталась после удаления строки. Может, проблема в движке (у меня OpenGL 3.1)?

Кстати, да, налету изменения применяются не всегда (если через ‘Ctrl+S’ в редакторе).
Показали бы уж весь конфиг, до TEXT — вдруг ещё какие-нибудь параметры влияют на рамку? Легче будет понять.

К слову, параметры ‘own_window_argb_visual yes’ or ‘own_window_argb_visual no’ рисуют не «рамку», а включают/выключают заливку дефолтным-чёрным всей площади окна коньков (это так, для ясности) и при таком раскладе, с картинкой в кач-ве фона, придётся, как мне кажется, жёстко привязывать размер и позицию окна conky к размеру фоновой картинки.

Но это я теоретизирую, поскольку подобной проблемы не наблюдаю: нет картинки — нет проблемы.

UPD. Теперь практика с проблемой.
Вот параметры, так или иначе влияющие на вид коньков, за вычетом того, что нам сейчас не нужно:

Дальше дело стоит за взаимопозиционированием окна коньков, размеры которого задаются параметрами
и накладываемого изображения:
…и за тем, чтобы «свести» параметры minimum_size 143, maximum_width 143 и -p 0,0 -s 160×160 так, чтобы ничего никуда не уезжало. Собственно, всё.
Приведённые мною размеры заведомо неверны, поскольку очевидно, что размер окна коньков должен быть >= размеру накладываемой картинки. Если картинка куда-либо уезжает, то на незанятом ею месте просто остаётся прозрачный фон окна коньков. Сводить картинку не стал, оставил как есть, поскольку сам календарь у меня описан так, что при изменении размера окна коньков ломается верхняя строка календаря. Но принцип ясен.
Для теста использовал простой градиент, наскоро сделанный в гимпе, 160x160px, ну и скруглил радиусом в 5px, чтобы удостовериться в том, что из пустого угла ничего не вылезет. Не вылезло.

Installation

Dual screen

When using a dual screen configuration, you will need to play with a few options to place your conky window where you want it on the desktop.

By adjusting gap_x , let us say you are running a 1680×1050 pixels resolution and you want the window on middle top of your left monitor, you will use:

Autostart

Conky can be started automatically several different ways, as outlined in «Autostarting». Choose the one that works best for your window manager/desktop environment.

Conky has a configuration setting which will tell it to fork to the background. This may be desirable for some autostarting setups.

If you use a graphical desktop environment and wish to use a conky.desktop file for autostarting, use the following:

The pause=5 parameter delays conky’s drawing for 5 seconds at startup to make sure that the desktop had time to load and is up.

Troubleshooting

These are known issues people have with conky and their solutions.

Conky starts and does not display anything on the screen

First check for syntax errors in your configuration file’s text variable. Then double check that your user has permission to run every command inside your configuration file and that all needed packages are installed.

Transparency

Conky supports two different types of transparency. Pseudo-transparency and real transparency that requires a composite manager to be installed and running. If you enable real transparency and do not have a composite manager running your conky will not be alpha transparent with transparency enabled for fonts and images as well as the background.

Pseudo-transparency

Pseudo-transparency is enabled by default in conky. Pseudo-transparency works by copying the background image from the root window and using the relevant section as the background for conky. Some window managers set the background wallpaper to a level above the root window which can cause conky to have a grey background. To fix this issue you need to set it manually. An example with feh is:

Enable real transparency

To enable real transparency, you must have a composite manager running and the following lines added to .conkyrc inside the conky.config array:

If window type «desktop» does not work try changing it to normal . If that does not work try the other options: dock , panel , or override instead.

Semi-transparency

To achieve semi-transparency in real transparency mode, the following setup must be used in the conky configuration file:

To reduce the transparency of the conky window, one can increase the value of own_window_argb_value towards 255.

Do not minimize on Show Desktop

Using Compiz: If the ‘Show Desktop’ button or key-binding minimizes Conky along with all other windows, start the Compiz configuration settings manager, go to «General Options» and uncheck the «Hide Skip Taskbar Windows» option.

If you do not use Compiz, try editing conky.conf and adding/changing the following line:

Refer to conky(1) man page for the exact differences. But the latter option enables you to snap windows to conkys border using resize key-binds in e.g. Openbox, which the first one does not.

Integrate with GNOME Shell
