Dark souls remastered не работает геймпад xbox one

I did this and I am having the same issue. When I use the controller and hit any controller button the game crashes. I also noticed the game is not seeing the controller as well.

I just notice in Steam Big Picture my controller was unregistered. I selected Xbox Configuration support and registered my controller and now it is working. Hope that helps.

Hello. I had the problem with xbox(usb) controller. In my case i use «speedlink xeos gamepad».
The solution that i found for me:
1. Disconect usb keyboard.
2. Connect usb gamepad
3. Reboot PC
4. Using mouse run the game.
After this steps gamepad works without any problem.
Hope this info can help someone. brave the sun

p.s. Interesting note. If i connect keyboard in game than gamepad stop work.

Like many people I had the problem of my xbox controller not being detected by Dark Souls remastered and spent hours looking over the internet trying to fix it, I tried every solution here and many more and I couldnt get it to work.

BUT I did finally figure out a solution that worked for me. Its kind of convoluted.

1 .Make sure your xbox controller is plugged in/recognized by steam
2. go to steam/settings/controller/guide button chord configuration
3. click on one of your controller buttons (I used right bumper) and set it to use magnify (the magnifying glass icon). The button should now say toggle magnifier.
4. Hold down the xbox button in the middle of your controller and press whatever button you mapped to make sure its working (it should magnify your screen). Press it again to go back to normal
5. Start Dark souls remastered and your controller should now be detected by the game (You might have to use the magnify feature in game once, xbox button + button you mapped magnify to)

Strangely this is what made the game detect my controller when nothing else would

Also I dont know if other controllers have a guide button like the xbox but if they do that is the button you need to use. Steam detects the PS controller so the playstation button might work

Though considering the wide variety of solutions that some people need to go through to get it to work there are some huge problems with how the game handles controllers

my controller works on other games but not this one for some reason?

OK For people using Dark Souls Remastered having problems with Xbox one controller With Windows 10 do the following

Go to Microsoft app Store Download Xbox Accessories App its Free
Connect your controller by USB or Blue Tooth (make sure Blue Tooth is on PC)
Open Xbox Accessories App and let it find your controller.

After that launch Dark Souls Remastered everything should work fine.

If still having problems you could try going into compatibility mode windows 8 and tick box open as Administrator.

Deleting the xinput1_3.dll inside the game folder \Steam\steamapps\common\DARK SOULS REMASTERED did the job for me.

fixed it by updating nvidia drivers, for some reason.

I have the game for a week now and I still haven’t played 1 minute of it because my controller is not working. I’ve read all the controller issues thread and tried everything without success.

I have Window 7 with a xbox one WIRED controller , everything works perfect for all my games except for this one.

— I tried with and without big picture
— I tried reboot and various steam exit
— I tried all combination possible of controller setting in big picture (force on , force off etc )
— I tried starting the game as admin , starting steam as admin
— I tried with and without 360 CE
— I tried to start the game with controller unplugged and the opposite
— I read all post about controller in reddit and in here and tried even more «fix» that I listed here, I just can’t remember

If somebody has a solution that would really be welcome , I’m a big fan of the serie and I’m really sad not to be able to experience the game while there’s a lot of people playing it.

Please don’t just tell me to get a refund because I don’t want one, I just want to play the game. and I already have hours of gameplay logged anyway when in fact it’s just me being in the menu trying to get it to work .

Probably the usual issue, you have «phantom» controllers installed. Souls games can only use controller number 0.

Unplug controller, open device manager, enable hidden devices in menu, right click and delete every single controller entry. Then reboot, connect you controller and get it installed. Game should work then.

im getting the same thing, my controller just wont do anything at all. need help ASAP

My PS3 controller worked fine on DS1, now it doesn’t. But making a configuration in Steam Big Picture for the controller worked immediately.

The controller config interface sucks, though.

Assuming they didn’t fix the issue that is in the original AND in DS2 & 3, you need to have only one XInput compatible controller connected.

So if you have any other input device, real or virtual, connected to your machine, you need to disconnect it or disable the corresponding HID Device in the Device Manager screen

Unplug / replug, you shouldn’t have to restart your PC or the game.
I had this issue, and simply fixed it with this.

Works after PC+Steam restart ^^ However I selected X-Input stearing before the PC restart.

Simple replugging or Steam restart didn’t do the trick for me.

you know dark souls 1 and 3 the controller didnt work fo rme at all. ended up having to refund the 3rd game over that. 1st game it worked fine till i upgraded to windows 10 :(.

But this time it’s funny it works. so wierd i was expecting this ♥♥♥♥ not to work at all for me. guess im just lucky this go. only have issues with like dark souls games and really old games that use direct x input btw. every other modern release has been fine for me. even dark sousl 2 lol. 🙂

Если в игре все же нет русского, зайдите в настройки игры и убедитесь, что выбран нужный язык. В том случае, если это не помогло, зайдите в свойства Steam и в поле «Язык» установите «русский».
