ZD-C Wired Gaming Controller USB Gamepad for PC Lapto (Windows XP/7/8/10) & Nintendo Switch & Playstation 3 & Android & Steam(C-Black) — just to post info on the controller first.
It works fine w/ other Steam games such as Dark Souls 3, Devil May Cry 5, Rogue Legacy 2 etc. But for w/e reason it doesn’t work on the Devil May Cry HD Collection. I can fire all those games up one by one w/o restarting anything and the controller works. I fire up Devil May Cry HD Collection and nothing.. it just behaves as if there’s no controller.
It’s just the controller, which is frustrating and makes no sense but it is what it is. I have an Xbox One controller that I can plug in directly or connect through bluetooth but as dumb as it might sound I prefer the $20 generic, wired made for PC controller. For w/e reason the expensive $60 PS4 and Xbox One controllers randomly disconnect themselves intermittently during gameplay. I don’t know if it’s a Windows 10 thing or what it is.
BUT I’ve noticed a weird thing w/ using expensive controllers on my PC that have motion sensors. The controller works fine as long as I’m holding it in an upright position. The second I lean forward in my chair, drop my hands down to my lap and the controller is laying flat in my hands it disconnects. I cannot find a reasonable explanation for this except that MAYBE the motion sensor in the controller is telling my PC that I put the controller down and it automatically just shuts it off at that point.
I don’t have any other explanation as to why this happens with the expensive controllers on my PC and it’s the main reason I prefer the cheap generic PC controller over the Xbox One or PS4 controllers.
That being said, I just plugged in the Xbox One controller and it works with the Devil May Cry HD Collection so it looks like that game specifically won’t recognize the cheap controller. Even though it works with all other games I’m currently playing. So my solution now is to just swap out controllers whenever I swap games. I’ll have to use the Xbox One controller for the HD Collection and then swap it out when I change games to my cheap generic controller.

I have an ordinary Chinese gamepad. When I turn on the game without it, everything works fine. When I connect the gamepad, the game immediately crashes. Maybe there is some solution to the problem?

Фикса наверное даже не будет. Но странно, что идет краш игры. Я уже много разных действий перепробывал. От включения геймпада перед игрой, и даже в процессе игры. Просто вылетает ошибка «Прекращение работы». Такое вроде бы было ещё с какой-то частью, но не помню с какой именно.

Скорее всего в перезапуске, ибо остальные части ничего не имели против. Может покопаться на форумах, если проблема идентичная, то наверняка там уже нашли метод, за столько то лет

The Normal way to add a controller to your steam :
1 — In the Steam client window, select View > Settings > Controller > General Controller Settings.
2 — You should see your controller under Detected Controllers. Select the box of what controller do you use ( PS4 , Xbox , Switch , etc Configuration Support). Plug in your controller to the pc and see if its detected
(In this exemple i use my PS4 controller)
3 — Select Submit to save your changes.
Windows 10 required
1: Connect your USB cable to your powered-on Windows computer
2: Connect the Micro USB end to your Xbox One controller.
3: Press the Xbox logo on your controller to turn it on. (If the logo briefly flashes and then turns off, your battery may be low, or the cable your using may only be for charging and not for data. If you
know your controller is charged, try using a different Micro USB cable.)
4: Enjoy your games. Once connected, Windows 10 should automatically detect the Xbox One controller, and you’ll be able to use it with games that support controller input.
its very easy to use , just connect your Dualshock 4 to the pc with the ds4 opened and should be done!
if your controller is bluetooth
1: Navigate to Settings on your PC and click Devices.
2: Click the Bluetooth settings option to make sure your Bluetooth is turned on. Stay in this menu.
3: Press the Guide button and then the sync button on your controller. The logo should start blinking rapidly.
4: On your PC, choose Add Bluetooth or other device, and click Bluetooth. This tells your PC to look for your controller.
5: Once it shows up, choose Xbox Wireless Controller to finish the pairing process.

В прикрепленном треде.
\steamapps\common\Devil May Cry 3\DMC3SE.ini
открыть в блокноте, удалить весь текст и вставить (можешь бэкапнуть на всякий пожарный)
Потом Xpadder’ом или схожей программой настраиваешь курки на Q и E соответственно.
Если беспроводной, в том треде найди второй текст вроде указанного сверху, со словом Wireless рядом.

Если у Вас нет DualShock или XboX гейпада, а поиграть на своём дешёвеньком джойстике всё-таки хочется, то тут поможет такая утилитка, как JoyToKey. На ней мы можем настроить нажатие кнопок на гейпаде и сопоставить их с кнопками указанными на клавиатуре в игре.
Настройка производится таким образом – подключив геймпад и запустив программу, нажимаем выбранную клавишу на геймпаде:
cтрока выделится цветом, затем выбираем “изменить значение” и откроется окно выбора функции для этой кнопки. Затем жмем клавишу на клавиатуре, которую вы переносите на геймпад и подтверждаем этот выбор – “Да”
