Как играть на гитаре «Nirvana Come as you are»
Сегодня мы разбираем песню группы Nirvana «Come as you are», которую журнал Rolling Stone внес в список 500 величайших песен всех времен под номером 445.
Примечательно, что сначала боялись выпускать эту песню синглом в связи со схожестью с песней другой панк группы. Но песня из-за своей коммерческой привлекательности все таки вышла, а Killing Joke подали иск в суд из-за основного гитарного риффа «Come as you are».
Именно эта тема и начинает песню Нирваны и продолжается на всем протяжении в куплетах. Ноты ниже показывают, как ее играть вступление к песни.
Мы начинаем играть ее на шестой струне. Играем два раза открытую ноту Ми (Е), затем первый и второй лад.
После мы играем открытую пятую, шестую на втором ладу и открытую пятую. Затем мы идем в обратную сторону. На шестой струне играем дважды второй лад, один раз первый и открытую.
Дальше мы играем пятую на втором ладу и два раза открытую на шестом. После этого играем пятую на втором ладу и начинаем все сначала.
Перед припевом переходя на припев этот рифф в конце играется немного по другому. Мы играем шестую открытую, пятую на втором ладу, шестую открытую и переходим на аккорд МИ (Е) с ударом вниз на долю.
Теперь начинается припев, это Фа диез минор (F#m) и квинт аккорд Ля (А). Затем играем восемь ударов по квинт аккорду Ля.
Стоит отметить тот факт, что в нотах припев записываются не все ноты аккорда, а только те, что слышатся на записи четко.
Это связано с тем, что при ударе медиатором на электрогитаре некоторые ноты могут не слышатся из-за того, что случайно глушатся во время игры, и звучит лишь часть нот аккорда.
Если взять например концерт MTV Unplugged In New-York в 1993 году мы четко услышим, что квинт аккорд Ля заменен на Ля мажор и удары по струнам берут весь аккорд.
Собственно в припеве можно подойти творчески и сыграть свой вариант боя.
После того как будет сыгран второй куплет и припев, переходи к бриджу Который играется двумя аккордами Си (Н) и Ре (D).
После чего начинается соло на гитаре на партию куплета. Соло очень простое и играется в основном на третьей струне.
Яркой чертой этого соло является использование скольжения по струне (слайд) от ноты Ми к Си и бенд на одиннадцатом ладу третьей струны одновременно с открытой второй струной. Именно эти два момента и придают выразительность всему соло состоящему из трех нот.
Дальше идут куплет, припев, бридж, рифф из куплета, который заканчивается Фа диез доминантсептаккордом с квартой вместо терции (F#7sus4 )

a flanger is almost exactly the same thing as a chorus except its delay times are much much shorter (up to 10ms where a chorus has get around 25ms).
They both work by detuning the guitars signal (vibrato) and then mixing it back with the original. And with choruses you also occasionaly you get multiple voice choruses which have the signal split and then affected with different rates of vibrato then mixed back.

\n Kurt Cobain used both a Small Clone and Poly Chorus. I own the Small Clone and let me tell you, sir, that it my most used effect outside of distortion. It makes every sound you can think of that a chorus could possibly render, including an awesome organ-type sound on Full Rate. Cobain also had his modded to have the Depth switch up all the time. I’ve found that the most often used warble for Nirvana stuff is around 2 or 3. I like it around 7 for originals and adding flavor to clean passages. A kickass pedal. Works great with a Flange if you have it on your amp or if you have the pedal. Can create some really neat underwater vibrato sounds with full rate and a quick flange.
\n Heres a list of Kurts effects. Get some of them if you want and toy around with them till you get the sound. I think he used both of the chours pedals and a flaner for Come as You are.
1. Boss DS-1 Distortion. Primary fuzz-box for the early years, often referred to as Roland EF-1.
2. Electro-Harmonix BigMuff. Used for Nevermind.
3. ProCo Rat. Used for Nevermind.
4. Boss DS-2. Kurt switched to a DS-2 after Nevermind.
5. Electro-Harmonix Small Clone chorus. One of Kurt’s main effects, used for the watery chorus on Teen Spirit, In Bloom (maybe on verse. ), Come As You Are, Territorial Pissings (interlude), Drain You (interlude) and clean part on Endless, Nameless. Also used on Incestide Aneurysm intro. Used on Unplugged show for Come As you Are, as well.
6. Electro-Harmonix Polychorus. The ultimate pedal. Four modes: Flanger, Chorus, Double Tracking, and Filter Matrix. Used on Radio-Friendly Unit Shifter, Scentless Apprentice, the LIVE Heart-Shaped Box Solo, Gallons Of Rubbing Alcohol Flow Thru The Strip, The Priest they Called him, and Curmudgeon. Probably on others, too. On songs where the solos sound doubled over to perfection, like on Sappy (or for those of you that call it Verse Chorus Verse) he could have used a distinct double-tracking effect. I don’t really know. I am sure about those songs though.
7. Electro-Harmonix Echoflanger. Same as Polychorus. Kurt had two of them apparently, and used them on the Unplugged show. However, I don’t know what songs he used it on. I don’t think he used it one any songs, but Guitar World says that he was arguing with MTV techs over the various qualities of the Echoflangers.
8. Tech 21 Sansamp. Classic model. Amp/cab simulator, Kurt used it for Distortion.
9. DOD Grunge pedal. Kurt was playing one on Live and Loud. An MTV joke, perhaps?
10. Vibrato footswitch. Okay, not really a pedal, but Kurt used amp vibrato (tremolo) from his Twin Reverb on the In Utero Heart-Shaped Box solo.
