External Item Descriptions

A mod for the game «The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth» that displays useful informations for items, trinkets, rooms and more!

The current version is designed to be used with the Afterbirth+ and Repentance DLC. For Afterbirth / Rebirth Version click here.

  • Displays information for all Collectibles, Trinkets, Cards, Runes, Pills and some Rooms
  • Displays additional informations like Itemtype, Charges, Transformations, Spindown Dice Results or Bag of Crafting recepies
  • Display one of 4 different Indicators around the inspected item
  • Mod support for nearly all mods!
  • Easy to use API (Documentation here)
  • A huge amount of custom options like:
    • Indicators
    • Font style
    • Language
    • and a lot of visual options!
  • Press F2 to hide/show the descriptions!
  • English (Default)
  • FRENCH (by Nicolas Delvaux)
  • SPANISH (by Arroyo Purroy)
  • PORTUGUESE (by Marcelino Cruz)

Ingame Configuration

Simply install «Mod config Menu». All Configurations except the language Setting can be changed with it ingame.

Windows

  1. With Repentance: steamapps\common\The Binding of Isaac Rebirth\mods\external item descriptions_836319872\
  2. With AB+: ..\Documents\My Games\Binding of Isaac Afterbirth+ Mods\External item descriptions\
  3. Open «config.lua» with any texteditor
  4. Edit the Config
  5. Save the file
  6. Play the game

To reset the config delete all the «save[NUMBER].dat» files from the following folder:

Как настроить item description

Yes. Both DLCs are implemented in this mod and have seperate description packages.

Mods don’t disable achievements, as long as you have killed moms Foot (Endboss of stage 6) at least once on the savefile. Kills on challenges or dailys dont count.

Quoted from the wiki:
» Playing with any enabled mod prevents any achievements from being unlocked.
If you have beat Mom at least once, achievements will no longer be locked.»

Simply press the «subscribe» button on the Workshop page. This will automatically download and install the mod. Just start your game again afterwards, and the mod will be listed in the «mods» menu in the main menu where it can be activated/deactivated.

You need to have all DLCs of this game installed! Workshop mods only work with Afterbirth+

  1. Try pressing F2 ingame to unhide the descriptions.
  2. Check if the mod is listed and enabled in the «mods» menu. See the question below if that is not the case.
  3. Disable all other mods you have installed and see if one of those caused any errors.
  4. Check if your run currently is affected by «Curse of the Blind». On default, descriptions arent displayed when the curse is active.
  5. Check if the debug Console displays any error message (How to open the debug console [bindingofisaacrebirth.gamepedia.com] )
  6. Execute the «Verify Game cache files» function in steam for the Game. Step by step guide can be found here Verify Game Cache Files [inxile.zendesk.com]

if the mod is not visible in the mods folder even after you subscribed to the mod, it could be caused by the following:

    You dont own all DLCs (Afterbirth and Afterbirth+). All Steam Workshop mods require those two DLCs to be installed in order for them to work correctly.

  • Your Windows / Mac Username does contain special characters, that are not part of the standard english alphabet. Since the game is not able to interpret those correctly, it cant find the mods folder. In order to fix this issue, you sadly have to create a new Windows User on your computer which name only contains english characters.

    • The simplest way to edit the config is to use the mod «Mod config Menu».

    Alternatively, you can change the config manually following these steps.
    Windows
    1. With Repentance: steamapps\common\The Binding of Isaac Rebirth\mods\external item descriptions_836319872\
    1. With AB+: ..\Documents\My Games\Binding of Isaac Afterbirth+ Mods\External item descriptions\
    2. Open «eid_config.lua» with any texteditor
    3. Edit the Config file
    4. Save the file
    5. Play the game

    To reset the config to default delete all the «save[NUMBER].dat» files from the following folder:
    1. With Repentance: steamapps\common\The Binding of Isaac Rebirth\data\external item descriptions\
    1. With AB+: ..\Documents\My Games\Binding of Isaac Afterbirth+ Mods\External item descriptions\

    в папке мода eid_config.lua открываешь через notepad++
    ищешь строку и ставишь в кавычки ru чтобы получилось так:
    [«Language»] = «ru»,

    к слову гайдов тонна неужель сложно загуглить
    прямо на странице мода на любом сайте написано как его натраивать

    чел сверху тебе прямо процетировал что настроить можно через мод mod config menu
    ты прежде чем наезжать, хотябы прочти что тебе говорят

    Что бы у тебя работал f10 надо наверно скачать «Mod config Menu»
    Что было написано в описании к моду ,который я процитировал ,а ты так и не понял .

    Binding of Isaac «Описание предметов на русском + 150 дополнений»

    Работает только на Afterbirth +
    Адаптация сделана на основе Item Descriptions in Russian v1.13
    Это значит что переведено абсолютно все, включая последний бустер пак для Afterbirth +

    Автор адаптации я, zato4ka. Это не финальная версия, будет продолжение.
    Если найдете ошибки пишите здесь, как и свои пожелания. Буду заглядывать 😉

    Вся инфа бралась с platinumgod и fandom. Доработан перевод по Комнате Жертвоприношений, брелкам, предметам. В сумме изменено более 150-ти описаний. Упор делался не на машинный перевод на скорую руку, а на вдумчивый перевод из позиции игрока. То есть, каждая правка делась через Alt + Tab прямо в процессе игры.

    Изменения в настройках мода:
    — инфа о предметах, картах, таблетках, рунах показывается всегда, даже в магазинах или при Проклятье Слепоты. Показывается информация по всем неизвестным пилюлям.

    — изменен радиус триггера подсказок с пяти до трех. Теперь, инфа по предметам не будет отображаться сразу при заходе в комнату, к предмету нужно сначала подойти.

    — над активным предметом выбран индикатор Красная Стрелка

    Установка стандартная:
    C:\Users\%Username%\Documents\My Games\Binding of Isaac Afterbirth+ Mods
