Не работает с cura 4.10.0

Я проверил проблему №171, но не понял, что делать, чтобы ее исправить.
После некоторых тестов я отредактировал файл plugin.json:

теперь вроде работает

То же самое и здесь. Устанавливается с торговой площадки вручную, «не может связаться с принтером по IP-адресу». У меня он успешно работал только на Cura 4.2.1, поэтому я использую его сейчас.

Пожалуйста, проверьте уже решенные задачи, прежде чем создавать новую.

Вам также необходимо изменить эти строки:

после этого он будет показан, но если есть какие-то критические изменения, он не будет работать, и вам нужно будет проверить файл cura.log

Я начну работать над № 171 сегодня, после работы. Так что завтра будет обновление в ветке dev.

Cura freezes while MKS Plugin trying to reconnect to the printer #36

Hi, I found the reason for the Cura freezing after disconnecting the printer (which was connected via wifi)

1. Cura and Printer were launched. Cura «sees» the printer via wifi
2. Turned off the printer — in the Cura, the printer is supposedly still connected
3. The log Cura %appdata%\cura\4.7\ cura.log contains «spam» messages from the «MKS Plugin» plugin regarding the wifi connection

In these reconnects and freezes Cura — in the video I drive back and forth with the middle button held down and periodically the chicken freezes.

1. I turn off the printer in Cura via the MKS Plugin plugin

Connect-reconnect logs no longer appear in the Cura log.
Kura no longer freezes.

Looks like the MKS Plugin is the source of the Cura friezes.

Привет, нашел причину зависания Кура после отключения принтера (который был подключен через вифи)
0. Cura и Принтер были запущены. Cura «видит» принтер по wifi

1. Выключил принтер — в Cura принтер якобы еще подключен
2. В логе Cura %appdata%\cura\4.7\cura.log идёт «спам» сообщений от плагина «MKS Plugin» по части коннекта по wifi

в эти реконнекты и фризит Cura — на видео с зажатой средней кнопкой вожу туда-сюда и периодически кура фризится.

1. Отключаю в Cura принтер через плагин MKS Plugin

В логе Cura перестают поступать логи по коннект-реконнекту.
Кура больше не фризит.

Похоже плагин MKS Plugin источник фризов Cura.

There is no «mks wifi connection» button on Cura 4.10, but plugin is installed and enabled.
works correctly on older versions

• OS: Windows 10
• Cura version: 4.10
• Plugin version: 1.2.2
• 3D printer: FlyingBear Ghost 4S

You can download the current version: https://github.com/Jeredian/mks-wifi-plugin
Then open cura -> help -> show configuration folder
(C:\Users\surface3\AppData\Roaming\cura\4.10\plugins\MKSWifiPlugin\MKSWifiPlugin)

Unzip the downloaded zip file and copy everything in there (replace data). Then restart cura.
It worked for me.

@diviatrix , it seems that you need to add an IP address of your printer. You can’t connect if there is nothing to.

@diviatrix, please create a separate issue about it, we will investigate this. Because on my mac and pc it works as it should.
Have you tried to toggle the wifi support checkbox and add your IP address again?

Same here, no button for configuration:

• OS: macOS Big Sur 11.4
• Cura version: 4.10
• Plugin version: 1.2.2 (latest)
• 3D printer: FlyingBear Ghost 5

For now, you can use the version from dev. branch, next release will be at the start of August

Developer version adds the button but still cant connect. Same as @diviatrix. But its nice to know that the DEV is on it.

@Pumpken, @diviatrix can you tell, please, your os version. maybe I will try to fix it this weekend. And it will be great if someones can show a gif or video (screencast) that describes your actions because we can fix only what we can reproduce.

@Pumpken , @diviatrix , btw after update to the current develop version, you need to set your settings like it’s the first time.
So it looks like a conflict of version with previous settings. You can try to clear the plugin folder and copy it from develop, maybe it can fix this. (because when Cura updates a plugin it does the same thing)

Установил плагин MKS WiFi. Плагин установился.

Actual results

В настройках принтера не отображается кнопка настройки WiFi. Пробовал устанавливать-удалять. Ничего не помогает. В предыдущей версии всё работало без проблем.

Хотелось бы нормальной работы по WiFi

I’ve problems too.
Cura is at version 4.10.0, MKS is at version 1.2.2 but in the Printer Preferences i don’t see anymore the button «MKS Wifi»

It is not an issue with Cura but with the plugin. The plugin is only supported till 4.9 See: Jeredian/mks-wifi-plugin#171

I will close this issue since this is not something we will fix.

Cura 4.0 is launched and the MKS plugin doesn’t work with it. It just disables itself and can’t be used at all. Any update on this?

In plugin.json file, replace the line «api»: 5 to «api»: «6.0» . After that, the plugin will show up in Cura. Next in the utils.py file you need to replace

And ready. Now the plugin works for you.

Changing the api value to «6.0» in the json file does get the plugin to properly showup as installed now, but after making those proposed changes in the utils.py file, the plugin no longer appears in the installed list after restarting cura.

I’ve tried using the plugin as is after only the api version change, and it allows me to add the printer ip, but it bombs on connect:

I’m not a developer, though I don’t see why the changes to that take_screenshot subroutine in utils.py would impact anything. But it’s breaking the plugin for me.

Seems to me there’s some more tweaking that needs to happen in the other py files. Tried a few trial&error changes, but not being a python dev, I’m not getting far. 🙁
