Hardware/software information

Windows Version: Windows 10 64-bit

Tablet Driver version: devocub edition v0.1.5.5

Tablet model: cth 490

Whenever I press enter to install the vmulti driver, the window suddenly disappears. I have checked another post with the same issue but did not find a fix, help?

Run the vmulti driver installer as admin is what I meant

Heyo. I’m also having the same issue. The install window immediately disappears. If I run it as not-administrator, the window shows some shit, and then asks me for access, and then disappears.

Well really we’ve narrowed this down to an issue with the vmulti driver, and not TabletDriver

At the moment, I have no clue besides trying to install it in compatibility mode or something

1.Unpack the whole driver so it looks like this
2. disconnect the tablet (so the windows won’t install the drivers automaticly).
3. uninstall wacom drivers.
4. isntall hawku drivers as admin

1. open tabletdriver (make sure that it’s unpacked in the same directory as all the other files)

I ran the install_vmulti_64.bat in the driver_vmulti folder with admin and it works

i cant install it when i do it will spam CMD with this message

Доброго времени суток, осеры, нуждаюсь в Вашей помощи!
Недавно приобрел гп xp-pen g640, в родных дравах невозможно адекватно настроить область, уже много времени на это потратил, бессмысленно.
Смотрел разные туторы по установке дров от hawku, делал всё по инструкциям, но софт не видит планшет. В списках поддерживаемых гп присутствует, много способов перебрал, но всё так и не заработало.
Надеюсь на Вашу помощь!

для начала проверь — удалил ли ты офф. драйвера xp. у тебя на компьютере должны остаться только 1 драйвера, и это hawku (выбираем их)

после того как ты убедишься что у тебя только 1 драйвера, то:

1. отключи г.п. от пк и включи заново

1. подожди пока планшет полностью подключиться к пк

1. запусти / настрой hawku заново, и убедись что ты все правильно делаешь. он должен увидеть г.п.

Если это не поможет то:

1. удали hawku

1. заново отключи и подключи планшет (это не обязательно но на всякий)

1. заново скачай hawku и установи его по инструкции
   1. внимательно прочитай инструкцию

это должно помочь. в последнее время с xp хрень творится, впринципе как и всегда.. либо это что-то с дравами

Заходил в дочернюю папку driver_vmulti и устанавливал там .ехе?

Если так, то врядли можно ещё чем-то помочь

Switched to Hawku around a month or two ago, had a lot of problems to the point where it won’t even stay connected to my tablet any more. I’ve tried pretty much everything I can think of and I’m stuck as to what the problem is.

Hardware/software information

Windows Version: 10

Tablet Driver version: V0.2.3

Tablet model: Huion H420

@Draxyn Does the tablet disconnect from the PC?
Are you sure that USB cable doesn’t disconnect from the tablet?
I have had disconnection issues with multiple different devices that use mini USB connector.

The tablet still works with the default windows ink stuff, just not with hawku. The little green light also still flashes which means it isn’t a dead cable.

@Draxyn If the tablet’s USB connection quickly reconnects, then drivers might not be able to command the tablet to switch to driver mode, so the tablet disconnects from the driver and stays in normal Windows Ink mode.

@Draxyn You could also try to remove and reinstall the Huion drivers that are provided with the TabletDriver.

@hawku yes, the official drivers work perfectly but I really don’t like using them as I’ve found hawku a hell of a lot easier to customise and use overall (apart from the issues, obviously)

@Draxyn So is the problem that the TabletDriver connects to the tablet but doesn’t stay connected?
Can you record a debug log and try to record the disconnection.

Post the debug_*.log and startuplog.txt to here.

I don’t think I’ll be able to replicate the connecting, it only connects briefly on launch and very rarely connects later on. @hawku
Edit: It won’t even connect on startup now

@Draxyn Maybe the TabletDriverService.exe is blocked by antivirus or something?
Try if the tools\RunServiceOnly.bat works.

Did the VMulti install correctly without error messages?

@hawku That’s weird, I tried uninstalling it again and reinstalling and it seemed to make it work, however long it will work I don’t know but I’ll keep you updated. I don’t have any other tablet drivers installed anyway

Have the same issue with xp-pen deco 01. Sometimes input freezes and sometimes turns into windows ink mode, console in gui with debug logging just stops flooding at all. If i click on «Restart Driver» it can help or driver says «Tablet init failed!», then i need to reconnect tablet and restart driver once more.

Did message you about this on reddit but you didn’t reply eventually so thought I’d post it here too. #

Tried everything I can think of, all my Wacom drivers are uninstalled, tried restarting pc, running as admin, nothing works. Just getting the same error.

Uninstall the «Wacom Tablet» device from the Window Device Manager.
Check the «Delete the driver software for this device.» checkbox when uninstalling the device.

Tried it, then restarted PC, installed your driver, opened the Driver GUI and still the same error.

With TabletDriver not yet installed, I uninstalled my current driver for my H420 with that particular checkbox ticked, Windows asked me to reboot, I unplugged my tablet before reboot, installed both the main driver and the huion one, rebooted, plugged in my tablet, launched the GUI, and am still getting the same error above. I also tried the tablet.cfg change in the reddit thread.

Edit: Someone on Reddit advised this particular change in my config and now the driver works!

Reinstalling and re-uninstalling the Wacom driver (restarting both times) helped me with this problem.

Yeah, I’m getting the same issue here. Cant fix it. Let me see if updating windows helps and I’ll report back.

Edit 2: Yeah, I’ve done everything thats been suggested. Not sure why it isn’t working. I’m on Windows 10, CTH-480. If anyone wants to use me for info on what could be the problem send me a message or add me on discord: Meigs2#478

WAIT Updating to the fall creators update in Windows 10 fully fixed my issues. Try FULLY updating windows for the people having this issue!

@Meigs2 That is interesting. That might be the reason for these detection problems, because only few people seems to have the problem after uninstalling the drivers properly.
Are you using the latest version of the driver (0.0.13 or 0.0.14)?

Version 0.0.13 adds new tablet configurations (config\wacom.cfg), so that might have improved the Wacom tablet detection.

Please, right click the console and press Copy all and paste the «Tablet open!» part here. It should look like this:

Copy all function doesn’t work in the 0.0.13, so first you need to update the driver to version 0.0.14.

I uninstalled all Tablet drivers and I have installed the vmulti device and reinstalled it multiple times

None of the solutions here helped me. Cannot find any traces of old drivers on my pc (uninstalled and installed vmulti multiple times) still doesnt help.

Hey, maybe I’m just an idiot and this is a stupid quetion but..
Where is config\tablet.cfg? I can’t find it to make the proper edits to it
I use a CTL-460, and I downloaded the driver from the wacom website

I was using an xp pen but it spoilt so I switched to my wacom cth 480. PRior to this I used the xp pen drivers, but decided to switch to these drivers for the wacom tablet. I uninstalled all my other drivers before installing this but I’m still getting these errors, nothing on this thread has helped so far
