Оказывается наш аппарат делает очень неплохие «Себяшки» передней камерой при правильном свете и экспозиции, при отключенном «сглаживании», т.е. делаем так:

1) на передней камере жмем на иконке «с дамской прической» и переводим уровень сглаживания в положение ВЫКЛ
2) наводимся камерой на себя
3) телефон по-умолчанию пересвечивает селфи даже на превью, поэтому тыкаем свободной рукой на любое что, есть в зоне захвата камеры светлее вашего лица (яркость превью при этом будет меняться, а телефон будет показывать в зоне тапа «солнышко»), надо добиться адекватной освещенности всего будущего фото.
4) делаем снимок (лучше коснувшись сканера отпечатка, так удобнее)

Мне так удалось добиться хорошей детализации и стало видно каждый волосок на бороде и ресницах (без замазывания в кашу) :rolleyes:

Приложение Google Camera в последнее время получило множество отзывов с одной звездой в Google Play. Его рейтинг снизился за последние полтора года с 3,8 до 3,3. В своих отзывах пользователи Google Pixel часто жалуются, что приложение не работает или работает далеко не всегда.

Однако, по данным AndroidPolice, поисковый гигант недавно заявил, что в приложении нет каких-либо проблем, связанных с программным обеспечением. Это означает, что пользователи, которые сталкиваются с проблемами камеры, страдают от аппаратных проблем своих смартфонов.

[Обсуждения] Подробная инструкция по кастомизации Xiaomi Mi A1: Pixel Experience и Root

1.0 И так, начнём с самого необходимого, без чего перепрошивка как таковая не имеет смысла — заварим чай. Зелёный чай, чёрный не пойдёт. И две ложечки сахара. Можно кофе, но уже без сахара. Отлично, теперь перейдём к менее значимой, но всё-таки нужной вещи — разблокировке бутлодера. Для этого:
✔ Пробуждаем Ваш Xiaomi Mi A1.
✔ Переходим в настройки.
✔ Спускаемся вниз, до пункта Система; заходим в него.
✔ Вторгаемся в пункт: О телефоне.
✔ Н аходим опцию: Номер сборки.
✔ Нажимаем на пункт Номер сборки, пока не увидим внизу экрана сообщение: «Вы стали разработчиком!».
✔ Возвращаемся в пункт Система, нажимаем на Дополнительно. Ищем пункт Для разработчиков. Здесь нам нужно найти раздел Заводская разблокировка — активируем его. Спускаемся чуть ниже, до пункта Отладка по USB — его тоже включаем.
1.1 Подключаем смартфон к Вашему компуктеру и переносим файл с прошивкой (PixelExperience_tissot. ) на SD-карту смартфона. Ждём окончания выполнения операции и пьём чай (Вы точно его заварили?).

Пункт Второй: Командная строка или я у мамы хацкер.

И так, из-за деятельности таинственного общества массонов и рептилоидов (нет, это был всё-таки не чай. ), на Windows 10 часто случаются проблемы при связке смартфона с ПК в fastboot (что такое fastboot? Fastboot — это режим загрузчика в Android, который позволяет принимать команды с ПК). Чтобы избежать неполадок, как правило, нужно установить драйвера, что мы, конечно же, сейчас и сделаем.
2.0 Для начала, скачиваем файлы ( https://drive.google.com/drive/f . d6JMNVB?usp=sharing ) и распаковываем в любое, удобное для Вас место. Далее:
✔ Переходим в диспетчер устройств, находим свой A1.
✔ Нажимаем правой кнопкой мыши по девайсу. Выбираем Обновить драйвер — Поиск драйверов на этом компьютере.
✔ Выбрать драйвер из уже установленных драйверов.
✔ Далее (да, просто нажимаем на кнопку Далее).
✔ Установить с диска — Обзор.
✔ Выбираем файл android_winusb в папке usb_driver (которую Вы распаковали в любое, удобное для Вас место). В появившемся окне нажимаем ОК.
✔ Выбираем Android Bootloader Interface; нажимаем на Далее (если выскочило предупреждение, нажимаем Да).
✔ Установить; Закрыть.
Вот и всё, теперь можем переходить к следующему разделу.
Следующий раздел:
И так, настал самый интересный момент (ну, или не совсем — на вкус и цвет, как говорится. ) — возня с Командной Строкой! Для начала, выключаем смартфон (от компьютера не отключаем) и переходим в режим fastboot: нажимаем и удерживаем кнопки уменьшения громкости и питания до тех пор, пока не увидим изображение кролика, чинящего зелёного робота. Последующие действия проводим на Вашем компьютере.
2.1 Открываем папку Tools (лежит в скачанной ранее папке Прошивка), после чего, зажимаем левый shift и нажимаем по пустой области папки правой кнопкой мыши; выбираем опцию Открыть окно команд.
2.2 Казалось бы — мы сидим перед компьютером с подключённым смартфоном, перед нами Загадочное Чёрное Окно, чего же не хватает? Правильно — зелёных букв в командной строке (как в каких-нибудь боевиках с хакерами). Поэтому, прописываем в командной строке: color 02, нажимаем Enter (далее, под словами: вводим команду, будет подразумеваться последующее нажатие Enter по окончанию написания) и радуемся жизни. Ах, да, вернёмся к прошивке. Пишем следующую команду: fastboot devices и нажимаем клавишу Enter (если все предыдущие действия были выполнены правильно, на следующей строке мы увидим надпись с серийным номером телефона и словом fastboot, например: a1n6d13r40id35 fastboot (если командная строка выдаёт: Waiting for any device. или: Error!, или: Большой Брат слидит за тобой, установите драйвера по инструкции из предыдущего раздела; отключите антивирус; проверьте корректность подключения ПК со смартфоном; правильность ввода команды).
2.3 Если всё получилось, далее вносим следующую команду: fastboot oem unlock для разблокировки загрузчика — при удачной разблокировке, перед нами появится сообщение: … Device already: unlocked.
2.4 И так, это завершающая команда, будьте внимательны! Вписываем: fastboot boot twrp-3.2.3-1-tissot.img и отставляем компьютер в сторонку, обращая свой взор на Mi A1 — на нём, через пару секунд должно появиться изображение с надписью teamwin. После недолгого ожидания, видим окно с текстом на английском языке и синим прямоугольником со стрелками внизу экрана – нажимаем на этот прямоугольник и делаем свайп (перетаскиваем пальцем стрелку в противоположную сторону экрана; отпускаем палец).

Пункт Третий: TWRP или Кастомное Рекавери, или Непонятные Слова.
3.0 Перед нами открывается невообразимый мир, под названием Кастомное рекавери (Минута справки: рекавери (recovery) — это режим загрузчика в Android, позволяющий, как правило, делать очистку data (сброс до заводских настроек), прошивать zip-файлы и т.д. Кастомное рекавери (тот же TWRP) отличается от обычного расширенным функционалом). Здесь мы, сохраняя боевой настрой духа, уверенно нажимаем на кнопку Wipe (самая верхняя строка). В появившемся перед нами меню выбираем Format Data, прописываем yes и нажимаем Enter (кнопка синего цвета на клавиатуре). Ждём окончания форматирования и, тем временем, попиваем чаёк (Вы там точно его заварили?!).
3.1 По оконанию процесса, нажимаем на наэкранную кнопку Назад (треугольной формы) два раза (попадаем в меню, где ранее нажимали на Format Data). Теперь нажимаем на Advanced Wipe. Ставим галочки:
☑ Dalvik/ART Cache.
☑ System.
☑ data.
Делаем свайп синей стрелкой и ждём окончания очистки…
3.2 Теперь, с помощью наэкранной кнопки Домой (домик внизу экрана) возвращаемся к истокам (в меню, где мы нажимали на кнопку Wipe). Выбираем Install; Select Storage, выбираем нашу SD карту, после – нажимаем на файл с прошивкой (PixelExperience…) и делаем свайп (да-да, синей стрелкой). Лицезреем окно установки, которое будет находиться на нашем экране около 15-ти минут, поэтому не пугаемся – спокойно наблюдаем за процессом (если экран начнёт потухать – просто нажимаем на него. В противном случае – включаем устройство, предназначенной для этого кнопкой и делаем свайп). После окончания прошивки, нажимаем на Reboot System.
3.3 Теперь устройство перезагрузится, и нас встретит надпись на белом фоне Your device software… — предупреждение о разблокированном загрузчике (оно будет появляться каждый раз, после перезагрузки вашего A1, а как его убрать будет рассказано в одной из последующих глав). Мы не пугаемся, а продолжаем ждать (первая загрузка может занять около 10-ти минут). В итоге, Вас должно встретить окно первоначальной настройки аппарата – проходим её, выбирая язык системы и т.д. Если Вы всё сделали правильно, Вас встретит новая прошивка с улучшенной камерой (режим HDR+) и дополнительными плюшками.

И так, чтобы получить доступ к дополнительным функциям системы, необходимо иметь root-права. Поэтому, чего тянуть Android’а за код — давайте, наконец, рутируем наш смартфон!

Hi everyone,
The official Pixel Experience ROM is becoming more stable and usable for our device, but there is no thread for it here on XDA so I thought I should put together some instructions for anyone who might be interested in trying it out.

Disclaimer:
This is not a beginners guide to flashing custom ROMs. If you have questions about specific steps I might be able to help you but I might have to refer you to other threads.
I am not one of the developers or maintainers for the official ROM, I’m just putting some instructions together because I had to do quite some digging on the internet in order to find all the instruction to install and get the ROM working. So hopefully this can help someone out.
Also these instructions are based on my personal experience and how I was able to get the ROM up and running so if any of the steps are unnecessary or I missed something just let me know and I will update the thread.
Read through all the instructions before going ahead with the installation, and I offer no warranty as something could go wrong at any step that is out of my control.

What is Pixel Experience?(from the PE website)

PixelExperience is an AOSP based ROM, with Google apps included and all Pixel goodies (launcher, wallpapers, icons, fonts, bootanimation).

Our mission is to offer the maximum possible stability and security, along with essential and useful features for the proper functioning of the device.

Additional Features
-AOSP Based which means:
-no stock cam or slow-mo
-RAW support in camera, can be used with apps such as Open Camera
-almost fully working Gcam with portrait mode and HDR+, (not included in the ROM but can be installed)
-Need to flash Xperia ODM for ROM to work

-Flash latest stock firmware with newflasher, boot to the device and go through the initial setup skipping as many things as possible such as signing into a google account.

-Install latest TWRP using fastboot.

Boot into fastboot mode by turning off the device, holding down the volume up button while connecting it to via USB to your computer. Then type

to flash twrp to recovery

-Download and flash the latest version of the Official Pixel Experience 10, or 10 (plus edition). Differences explained in the second post.

-Before rebooting shutdown from TWRP and boot into fastboot mode.

-Donwload the latest Xperia ODM binares.

-In fastboot mode flash the download ODM binaries with

This erases user data but this step gave an error for me so we will solve this is a second.

-Now boot to ROM. It might take a while to boot but you should see the google boot animation with the moving progress bar.

-Quickly go through setup without setting anything up. So skip wifi, google account, everything. We will set this up later.

-Once setup is skipped, go to setting and to a factory data reset.

-This will reboot the phone and wipe user data. Let it do its thing and it will reboot in a bit.

-Once it is back to the setup screen you are good to go and setup as normal. Enjoy your Pixel Experience device.

Camera Samples are downscaled to conserve Drive space, but it should be high enough quality to see the differences between the default camera and Gcam. Especially with HDR+ and colors.

Thank your for the instructions on setting up the rom. I am looking forward to testing the rom myself. I have been using this phone as an replacement on my vacation because I got it used in good conditions for very cheap. I Wil flash it once home again.

I would love to see gcam working on this device as for my previous phone it was an huge upgrade photo quality wise. If you happen to find the time please upload some pictures taking with gcam.

Great idea starting this thread. I’m now running this rom both on my XZ1 and XZ1C so tips/suggestions/mods would be useful.

The main draw for me to use this rom is finally the support for new versions of GCam mods on this device. So far I’ve tested several GCam variations and mods — but even though the raw photos are processed after taking a photo, every one comes out grainy — a lot of noise even in high lighting. Is anyone experiencing the same?

Exposure and focus are all what I would expect from GCam so that’s good news.

There’s one mod I’ve gotten good HDR+denoise results with: onFire_3rd-form_7.3.020.apk.
Mostly because it has sabre support and extensive denoise settings in the libraries setting. Here’s what I did to enable the denoise settings:

1. Open camera settings.
2. Scroll down and tap Learn More.
3. At the bottom, toggle «Enable onFire settings».
4. Go back and you’ll see a new option «Flame».
5. In Flame settings, tap «Main Lens > Lib Patcher».
6. There are 3 categories for Denoise Levels. Set everything to 2.0 or adjust based on your preference.

Photos now look much better, and most of the grain/noise is now removed. I’m still tweaking and looking at other mods but so far this mod produces the best results for me.

Also a big thank you to the devs who are working on this rom. This is a game changer for this device and hope to see more support in the future.

Thanks for the suggestion.
With NGcam 7.4 in good lighting (sunlight) I am getting good pictures and the HDR+ helps expose the sky correctly but at night time the noise returns and nightmode pictures are basically unusable.
Try out Open Camera in noise reduction mode if you have not yet, I was surprised by how much of a difference it made.

Also I will go ahead and try your suggestion. Keep us updated if you get a good setup in GCam.

The photos with onFire Gcam are definitely better than the other ones I tried noise level wise, and also the viewfinder does not lag as it does in the NGcam.

Were you able to get the front camera to work?
When I tried it it only produced weird images of color and black lines.

Yeah — I didn’t test the front camera until now and have the same result — pink/purple vertical lines instead of the actual photo taken. My guess is that the the mod doesn’t support HDR on the front-facing cam and since I can’t find an option in onFire GCam to turn off HDR, I don’t think there’s a fix here. Unfortunate because it’s a great mod with tons of settings.

The other mods I’ve tested so far produce a fish-eye lens effect on the selfie-cam. I’ll post an update if I find anything worth using but for now I’m putting a pause on this rom until next release (if there is one) because it’s a bit too unstable for daily use.

For camera, the onFire GCam mod is still working best for me in terms of quality and performance. To get around the front-facing camera issue I just installed Parrot043’s Google Camera Go mod and switch to it when I want to take selfies.

An alternative mod that works well and has the option to disable HDR for front-facing cam is Parrot043’s PMGC_7.0.009_HDR_Version_V13.apk . I love this mod because of the speed and options but also because it doesn’t required Google Photos for previewing photos that are processing.

To reduce noise this mod:
1. Go to Settings > Photo > Advanced.
2. Scroll down to Binary Settings «Libraries».
3. Enable Use manual binary control «Libraries».
4. Adjust Brightness noise suppression, Color noise suppression, and Noise reduction with sharpness in shadows.

I found setting each to 1.5 to 2.0 works quite well. Also NightSight and HDR+ Enhanced still produce a lot of noise. Using the regular camera mode with HDR+ enabled seems to work best.

It doesn’t work for me! I followed the instruction on this thread, but it doesn’t boot.

I used ‘newflasher_v22’ and ‘G8441_Customized KR_1310-7513_47.2.A.11.228_R1C’ for flashing stock ROM. And I followed the instruction. Booted once, flashed recovery for ‘twrp-3.3.1-0-lilac-android10-1.img’, wiped dalvik, cache, system, data partition, flashed ‘PixelExperience_Plus_g8441-10.0-20200815-1618-OFFICIAL.zip’ on TWRP, flashed ‘SW_binaries_for_Xperia_Android_10.0.7.1_r1_v9c_yoshino.img’ on fastboot, and typed ‘fastboot -w’ and it worked. I rebooted, but the phone blinks the screen once in a second, with black screen, for a while. After around 10 minutes, boot animation came up, with 2fps, and it was booted. But frame rate was just 2fps. It was too laggy, so I tried factory reset in settings app, but that didn’t help.

Since on the download site the changelog says I need to flash binaries files *before* flashing this ROM, I tried once again. I made a few changes. I flashed binaries files after installing stock ROM, and rebooted. And I didn’t wipe system partition. Flashed ROM, and didn’t do fastboot command. This time, it didn’t boot at all. I tried over and over again wiping system and with ordinary ROM, but when I booted, bootloader unlock screen came up twice, and entered TWRP. It didn’t even blinked the screen.

Third trial, the first one is occurring again. Screen backlight blinks at 1Hz with LCD off, and framerate is still 2fps. When if I charge the phone while turned off, LCD doesn’t work, but backlight is on. Did I do something wrong? Why it doesn’t work?
