Все, что вам нужно – это пошагово следовать данной инструкции:

1. Зайдите в папку со steam`ом и найдите файл steam.exe. Задайте ему совместимость “запускать от имени администратора”.
2. Откройте steam, добавьте игру, как стороннюю игру в steam (именно exe`шник в папке с игрой (“sao_hr.exe”)).
3. Откройте big picture , найдите САО, нажмите “настройки контроллера” и поставьте 3 галочки.
4. Запускайте игру через big picture, нажмите shift+tab и настройте кнопки, как показано на скриншотах ниже

Еще несколько советов по настройке геймпада:

• Если у Вас не работает Режим big picture в steam, попробуйте вот что. Выйдите из steam, перезапустил его как администратор и загрузил игру в режиме big picture. Кроме того, если вы добавите его игру как non-steam, не добавляйте ярлык с рабочего стола. Просмотрите файлы и добавьте файл exe из исходной папки.
• При установке привязки кнопки (M / Page Down) на RB сначала нажмите «Удалить», внизу, а затем разрешите нажатие нескольких кнопок, добавьте эти две кнопки, а затем отключите его.
• Убедитесь, что настройки управления в игре стоят по умолчанию!
• Также на скриншотах не назначена кнопка выхода в меню. Вы можете установить ее на “назад” (“выбор” на ps3/4) кнопку, если хотите, добавив ее рядом с кнопкой карты, так как эти две кнопки не будут нажиматься.
• Вы также можете настроить конфигурацию кнопок в меню управления. Просто убедитесь, что вы делаете то же самое для конфигурации геймпада в оверлее, или это может вызвать некоторые нежелательные действия в игре.
• Во время игры, когда вы нажимаете правый курок, чтобы вызвать командное колесо, вы должны использовать кнопку правого джойстика (R3) для использования команды.

I had this problem with Nights of Azure 2. I fixed it enabling steam overlay while in game option + Xbox steam support from Steam Gamepad options. Tell me if this works because when I finish NoA2, I will buy this game if there aren’t problems with the gamepad ^^.

Tried that but nothing happens, then I close my Steam and uncheck «Run as Admin» then I do what you said again and aparently its working now.

Is it working with the xbox one controller or the 360 one? Cause I’m trying to make it work with the 360 one no luck so far. Could i have more detailed step on what you did?

Im gonna test another X360 controller and see if it works.

Edit: I plug another X360 controller and Big Picture popup asking me to configure a new controller profile and I just click on Submit its working too!

If you run your Steam with compatibility mode and/or «Run as Administrator» close it and uncheck all options on your Steam shortcut. Then open your Steam and Big Picture > Settings > Controller Settings > Check: Xbox Configuration Support.
Open your game and test it.
I tested with my X360 and XOne but only XOne is working.

Doing the opposite (running it in admin mode) fixed it for me.

First I checked XBOX Configuration Support, then I closed steam, checked the admin mode box and restarted, after which it works (seems to me just restarting steam should do the trick).

Sao hollow realization не работает геймпад

Okay, so most of you guys/girls are complaining about the Controller Support for this Game. Here is a solution for most of you people:

— Go to your Game Directory and right-click the «sao_hr.exe»
— Next up, choose Compatibility on the second bar
— Set the Compatibility Mode to «Windows 7» and hit Apply

Do the same with your «steam.exe», which is located in the respective install dir.

NOTE: Make sure that your Xbox One Controller is configured before you start the game. Feel free to assign the setup you want the most. 🙂

TA-DA! You don’t need the Big Picture Mode anymore! Works as usual like when you start up Steam normally, not with Administration rights.

It did work for me, so I don’t know if it works with PS4 Controllers either way, I favorite the Xbox One Controller to play my games.

J’ai moi aussi galéré comme beaucoup avec cette histoire de manette, il était hors de question de pollué mon pc encore une fois avec un logiciel tiers Xbox Controller and Co.
Et la manip proposée avec Big Picture et ou de débranché etc… ne fonctionné pas !

J’ai donc cherché un peu plus loin en Big Picture (BigP) et ai trouvé une solution plus pragmatique.

Comme indiqué par Juzo 13 en premier lieux vérifier que Steam voie bien votre manette pour cela :

Allez dans les paramètres Steam —> manette —> paramètres généraux —> assistance configuration manette Xbox (doit être coché et une manette doit apparaitre en dessous de ces options, si non alors votre manette n’est correctement détecté par Steam)

Si aucune détection ne s’effectue relancez Steam (de préférence en BigP) et aller contrôlez.

Enfin passé Steam en mode Big Picture si vous n’avez pas déjà relancé Steam directement en BigP.
A partir de là faite comme bon vous semble mais je vous recommande d’user de votre manette dans les menus BigP. Sélectionner le jeux (ne l’exécutez pas !) allez dans :

Bibliothèque sélectionnez SAO —> Gérer —> configuration du contrôleur —> Parcourir les configurations —> Afficher les autres types de manettes —> Dans l’onglet des configuration recommandées officielle pour SAO par Aquria, sélectionnez la configuration en fonction de votre manette (Steam Controller, xbox360, xbox one, ou ps4) et faite importer la configuration —> Appliquer la configuration.

Le message d’avertissement de la configuration de la manette nécessaire persiste mais le prb et corrigé.

I also struggled as much with this controller story, it was out of the question to pollute my pc again with a level of software Xbox Controller and Co.
And handling with Big Picture and or unplugged etc . does not work!

So I looked a little further in Big Picture (BigP) and found a more pragmatic solution.

As stated by Juzo 13 first check that Steam sees your controller well for that:

Go to settings Steam -> controller -> general settings -> Xbox controller configuration support (must be checked and a joystick should appear under these options, if not then your controller is not detected by Steam)

If it’s not detected relaunched Steam (preferably in BigP) and go check.

Finally passed Steam in Big Picture mode if you are not already relaunched Steam directly in BigP.
From there do as you like but I recommend you use your controller in the menus BigP. Select the game (do not run it!)

SAO classified library -> Manage -> controller configuration -> Browse configurations -> Show other types of controllers -> In the tab of the recommended configuration for SAO by Aquria, specify the configuration according to your controller (controller of steam, xbox360, xbox one, or ps4) and importer configuration -> Apply configuration.

The warning message of the necessary controller configuration persists but the prb is corrected.

Well, get the tool ‘JoyToKey’ — it is small and simple and emulates the keyboard keys on your xpad control. I tested it and it worked flawlessly.

After download Joytokey. Unzip and put it all in the game directory folder. Just follow the instruction in the video.

All that left is below settings. Select JoyToKey.exe, right mouse click(RMC) and run as administrator then choose setting as below.

Choose Settings(S)>Configure joysticks(C)>
1.Calibrate analog stick>Configure Game Controller Property
Game Controllers>Properties>Function Tests*
:Axes are for Left Stick & Right Stick
:Point of View Hat is for arrow button
:Buttons will only highlight on which button is press

*This is to test your game pad is working or not. If your «Right Stick» not working, you can proceed on next settings.

Choose Settings(S)>Configure joysticks(C)>
2.Advanced setting for each device
For Stick 1 (Left Stick) choose
Horizontal: X-axis
Vertical: Y-axis
**For Stick 2 (Right Stick) choose
Horizontal: Z-axis
Vertical: RZ-axis
**the default axis for stick 2 is different, please change it as recommended above.

Lastly is to follow settings for buttons. Depend on how you want to set it. This is the best setting i use to play.

Choose Edit button assignment

Button 1 (Y/Triangle) — H
Button 2 (B/Circle) — Esc, O
Button 3 (A/Cross) — Enter
Button 4 (X/Square) — U
Button 5 (LT/L1) — *PU, Q

*The (Y/Triangle) is only to describe which button on your game pad, just choose after » — » which is H for button 1. When you choose edit button assignment there will be 4 Disabled «row» in the keyboard tab. When you select the «row» it will turn yellow. For button 2, choose Escape and O in each of this «row».

Please DO NOT forget to SAVE. Should be working 100%.

How to use x360ce emulator with Sword Art Online: Hollow Realization on PC

In this tutorial you will find steps to make x360ce work with Sword Art Online: Hollow Realization. This method also works with any game – just do the same easy steps, no special skills needed to make any controller work as an Xbox 360 gamepad. Emulator allows your controller (joystick, wheel, gamepad, etc.) to operate as the most common device, recognized by most of the games without any additional settings and workarounds.

1. The first step is to download x360ce zip file from official site. You have to select 32 or 64 bit version (same as the version of Sword Art Online: Hollow Realization you use). If you don’t know the version of your game or download wrong one accidentally, you will be notified later and have a chance to use another version.

2. Now we have to find the installation folder of your game. You can easily do this by looking into game shortcut settings or finding the game in your Steam library list. If you choose the Steam variant, right click the game name and select “Properties”.

3. Navigate to “Local files” tab and press “Browse local files. ” button.

4. Now you need to find the folder with Sword Art Online: Hollow Realization executable. In the example picture they are located in Binaries / Retail subfolder. You need to extract downloaded x360ce ZIP file to folder with your game executable file.

5. Click on x360ce exe file with the right mouse button and select “Run as administrator” from dropdown menu.

6. You will see window with warning – “xinput 1_3.dll was not found. This file is required for emulator to function properly.” Don’t worry, just click “Create” button to make them appear.

7. When x360ce will inform you that new device was detected, use automatic search for settings from internet – just hit “Next” button.

8. Click “Finish”, when installation completed.

9. Hit the “Auto” button to make all settings set to defaults. Confirm changes by clicking “Yes” in popup window. All the buttons will be filled automatically.

10. Now just hit “Save” button to make all your settings saved. You can also change buttons assignment before hitting “Save”, if you like.

Now you can normally launch Sword Art Online: Hollow Realization and use your controller with x360ce emulator – it will be starting automatically with each game launch.
