Server Captcha Bot

Server Captcha Bot makes it easy for you to secure your server from automated raids and spammers while being non-intrusive. Server Captcha Bot is one of the largest and battle tested verification bot on Discord.

Setup Process

1: Invite the bot to your server

2: Run the /checklist slash command. This command provides all the necessary steps to setup a server.

3: Edit each channels permissions (or just the @everyone role ) to deny @everyone from viewing while allowing the Verified role to view.

4: That’s it!

Advanced configuration

If you want a logs channel you can setup a logs channel with /config logs set:Your Channel .

Server Captcha Bot currently provides two verification methods for server administrators to choose from. Users can verify they are a human with our web verification portal or with our image based captchas. Please do note that our web verification is much harder for bots to bypass.

Боты в Дискорд выполняют функцию помощников, которые автоматизируют определенные процессы на сервере. В зависимости от специализации бот выполняет поставленные на него задачи посредством прописывания команд панели управления.

Сегодня речь пойдет о Discord Server Captcha bot – боте, который специализируется на борьбе со спамом. Вкратце представленный бот – это дополнительный защитный инструмент, который запрограммирован защищать сервер от наплава спам ботов.

Главные функции и возможности

Капча бот для дискорда – это защитник от спама ботов в Дискорде. К сожалению, бороться со спамом крайне сложно. Для владельцев серверов спам – это главный источник проблем. В чатах, обсуждения, беседах появляются роботы, которые посылают огромное количество рекламных сообщений. Из-за этого портиться атмосфера на сайте, а пользователи не могут нормально общаться, поскольку каждую секунду происходит спам сообщениями.

Captcha bot – настроен решить данную проблему. Принцип работы бота довольно простой: как только замечается подозрительная активность. Например, отправляются сообщения не несущие смысловой нагрузки или содержащие ссылки, то бот требует от пользователя ввести капчу. Пока капча не будет правильно введена, аккаунт не сможет больше отправлять сообщенияю.

Как скачать и добавить бота

Для того чтобы скачать и активировать бота требуется выполнить несколько простых операций в числе которых:

1. Перейти на официальный сайт разработчиков Discord Server Captcha bot.
2. В правом верхнем углу страницы найти и нажать на кнопку Log in with Discord. Таким образом, пользователь выполнит вход в собственную учетную запись на сайте.
3. Найти интересующий вас сервер.
4. Нажать на кнопку «add bot».
5. Следовать инструкциям Дискорд.
6. Готово, бот находится на вашем сервере.

Настройка бота и отключение

Капча сервер бот – стандартный бот, использующий сценарии алгоритмы, которые используются в остальных ботах в Дискорд. Для настройки боа используйте команду! config, а для просмотра текущего состояния бота команду –! checklist.

Если вы желаете удалить Discord Server Captcha bot, то потребуется авторизоваться в мессенджере, зайти на сервер, на который устанавливался капча бот. Далее необходимо зайти в переписку с этим ботом. Нажать на иконку (правой кнопкой мыши) с изображением бота и удалить его.

Команды управления ботом

Например, владелец сервера способен запрограммировать бот так, что каждому, кто вводить более 10 однотипных сообщений за минуту потребуется пройти капчу.

How does it work?

1st — When a user joins the server, they aren’t able to see any of the main channels. They are also DMed by the main bot, as shown in the corner.

2nd — The user completes the Captcha, and is added to the server. (Image 1: Captcha Completion; Image 2: Newly Accessible Channels)

That’s it! — It’s as simple as that, no interaction needed by administrators of the server.

Setup

You might think setting something like this up for administrators would be difficult, although it’s not! You can utilize the !checklist command to view a list of actions required for your server to be fully set up.

1st — Complete the list of actions from !checklist . (example below)

You’re done! — Completing the checklist is all you need to do, it’s that simple. (photo below of completed checklist)

Commands

Since this bot is highly autonomous, there aren’t that many commands required. Although, here is the full list:

Custom Logging

Everyone likes data! This bot has another feature that allows administrators/staff to view everyone completing the Captcha’s in real-time. It can be set by using the !config command.

What if…

We don’t all enjoy what if questions, but I’ll try my best to answer some of the main ones.

What if a user has their DMs turned off?

Since the setup requires you to have a verification channel (essentially a waiting room), they are pinged there with an example of how to temporarily turn on their DMs. (image below)

What if a user fails the Captcha?

Users get three attempts at the Captcha until they are told to type !verify into the verification channel, which gives them a new Captcha. (image below)

Other Questions

Are the Captcha’s pre-created?

No, all Captcha’s are unique and generated when the user requests a Captcha. The bot generates hundreds per day, having preset Captcha’s would ruin the security.

Are any new features planned?

Yes, there are a few features that are planned, mostly relating to backend security. Although, it’s better if they weren’t known so the people trying to bypass this system will have a harder time doing so.

We wanted to ask a few questions we feel would come up after everyone had read the news!

Commands are no longer working? How do I fix this?

Server Captcha Bot has migrated to Discord’s slash commands. You will need to re-invite the bot for them to start showing up: https://servercaptchabot.xyz/invite.

Where can I ask questions or get support?

You can join the support server here: https://discord.gg/QE2TxKjVhE. Plexi Development is no longer affiliated with Server Captcha bot and will no longer provide any support for the bot.

Will I need to change any settings?

For most of you… Nope! Server Captcha Bot will continue to operate as long as you have previously setup the captcha system. Some servers have an invalid config and you will need to set up the server again. Sorry, not sorry.

What is changing?

A few things have changed with Server Captcha Bot! The biggest change is the migration to slash commands. This is a change required by Discord within the next few months so we’ve made an early jump. You will need to start using /verify, /config, etc.

One of our proudest new features is supporting those who are unable to read image captchas. We now offer the ability to request an audio captcha!

We have also introduced a new config option for servers who utilize Discord’s moderation levels and/or membership screening. You may want users to have a verified phone number but if a bot assigns them a role, then they are exempt from this rule.

We are excited to announce the ability to toggle on or off the DM on join functionality so the bot will respect the membership screening and/or Discord verification levels. You can have Server Captcha Bot only send captchas to users who explicitly run /verify . You can DM on join by using the config command:
/config dm_on_join set:[True or False]

We’ve updated our website and now offer web based verification. You can enable this with /config method set:web . Web based verification is more secure than image and audio captchas so if you need maximum security switch to web.

Are there new features planned?

Overall, not much will be changing with Server Captcha Bot right now. We want to continue the vision of providing free security for your Discord server by preventing automated raids. We have a plethora of new features planned and will be releasing new features for the next few months every two to three weeks. Our first goals are to provide localization for communities who do not speak English.
