Sidekick is a Discord assistant for war base calling, researching new recruits, competing with your clanmates for top looter, smart upgrade recommendations, and much more.

/search [value] Search for Clans, Players, Players who can donate specified troops or troops information. Or /s [value] Value: Troops, heroes, defense building, spell, player name, player tag, clan name, clan tag, member, elder, and leader.

/time Show USA Pacific, USA Eastern, GMT, India, and Korea timezone.

/upgrade Shows all troop/spell/hero upgrades remaining.

/th 9 [your message] Sent your message to all Th9 players in your server using discord tagging.

/leader [your message] Sent your message to leader and co-leaders in your server using discord tagging.

User Notification Commands

/option notify [on/off] To turn on or off anytime I receive donations.

Multi Clan Commands

/summary Show war status for all clans in your server.

/summary best Show global best between players/clans in your server. Or /summary best [5 to 25].

/channel #channel-name #clantag Set #channel-name to #clantag.

/channel #channel-name #clantag feed Set Clash Feed channel to #channel-name.

/channel #channel-name #clantag war Set War Channel to #channel-name.

/channel #channel-name remove To remove #channel-name from sidekick.

/prefix ! Change Sidekick prefix to ! from / (default). You can change it to any prefix: ? .

Player Link Commands

/add Show linked /non link members to Sidekick in your server.

/add [clash-name/playertag] Link clash-name or playertag to your Discord.

/add [clash-name/playertag] @discord-name Link clash-name or playertag to discord-name.

/remove [clash-name/playertag] Remove clash-name or playertag from your Discord.

Боль­шинс­тво ботов Telegram, выпол­няющих по зап­росу поль­зовате­ля поиск и выдачу пер­сональ­ных дан­ных, работа­ют по схе­ме OSINT, то есть опи­рают­ся на откры­тые источни­ки, для чего экс­плу­ати­руют API раз­личных служб и интернет‑ресур­сов. Дру­гие исполь­зуют сли­тые базы дан­ных, но такие сер­висы, во‑пер­вых, не всег­да фун­кци­они­руют ста­биль­но, а во‑вто­рых, испы­тыва­ют проб­лемы с акту­али­заци­ей информа­ции: любая утек­шая в паб­лик база со вре­менем уста­рева­ет и, разуме­ется, не обновля­ется. Монети­зиру­ются подоб­ные боты либо за счет донатов, либо за счет рек­ламы, или же адми­ны огра­ничи­вают количес­тво бес­плат­ных зап­росов, пос­ле чего бот начина­ет про­сить денег за каж­дую сле­дующую выдачу. Иног­да — если адми­ны ну очень жад­ные — исполь­зуют­ся все методы сра­зу.

Лю­ди ищут пер­сональ­ную информа­цию по раз­ным при­чинам. Кто‑то пыта­ется таким обра­зом отыс­кать сво­их от­равите­лей дол­жни­ков или сим­патич­ную сосед­ку по подъ­езду с боль­шими и кра­сивы­ми си… ними гла­зами. Кто‑то разыс­кива­ет пря­мые кон­такты бло­геров или вла­дель­цев паб­ликов либо пыта­ется из чис­того любопытс­тва пос­мотреть пос­ты в зак­рытых про­филях соц­сетей сво­ей быв­шей.

Еще мож­но по номеру машины отыс­кать мобиль­ный телефон под­резав­шего тебя на дороге водят­ла, поз­вонить ему, наз­вать по име­ни‑отчес­тву и веж­ливо поп­росить объ­ясне­ний. Некото­рые «гон­щики» в такие момен­ты почему‑то нем­ного сму­щают­ся. В общем, при­чины могут быть раз­ными, а средс­тво одно: условно‑бес­плат­ные Telegram-боты или услу­ги про­бива, до сих пор широко рек­ламиру­емые в дар­кне­те.

Оче­вид­но, что не все боты оди­нако­во полез­ны. Некото­рые про­сят денег, но в ответ либо не находят акту­аль­ную информа­цию, либо отда­ют откро­вен­ную туф­ту. Дру­гие вро­де бы работа­ют, но нас­толь­ко стран­но, что дос­товер­ность пред­лага­емых ботом дан­ных оста­ется сом­нитель­ной. Что­бы ты не тра­тил дра­гоцен­ное вре­мя и день­ги на поиск жем­чужин в куче орга­ничес­ких удоб­рений, твой любимый жур­нал про­тес­тировал наибо­лее популяр­ные боты в Telegram и пря­мо сей­час поделит­ся с тобой получен­ными резуль­татами. Пог­нали!

Get Contact

Тот самый леген­дарный бот, сыг­равший немало­важ­ную роль в нашумев­шем рас­сле­дова­нии. Бот показы­вает, как имен­но записан номер мобиль­ного телефо­на в адресной кни­ге дру­гих або­нен­тов. Информа­цию железя­ка чер­пает с мобиль­ных устрой­ств або­нен­тов, уста­новив­ших при­ложе­ние Get Contact, поэто­му, если на телефо­нах тво­их дру­зей эта прог­рамма не уста­нов­лена, никаких дан­ных ты не получишь. В день бот поз­воля­ет отпра­вить не боль­ше трех телефон­ных номеров.

В моем слу­чае на все без исклю­чения зап­росы бот выдавал один и тот же ответ: Result: Nothing found . При этом поиск по име­ни бота в «Телег­раме» выда­ет пару десят­ков резуль­татов, отли­чающих­ся друг от дру­га одной или парой букв (get_kontact_bott, get_kontakts_bot и так далее) — видимо, на вол­не воз­росшей популяр­ности про­екта чис­ло жела­ющих поиметь с это­го про­фит тоже рез­ко уве­личи­лось. Некото­рые служ­бы, вро­де @Getcontact_official_bot, с ходу тре­буют зап­латить 200 руб­лей за под­клю­чение к сер­вису. При­том ни один из этих ботов, в общем‑то, не работа­ет.

Не знаю, с чем имен­но свя­зано это досад­ное явле­ние — с наруше­нием в логике сер­виса или с вне­зап­ным нап­лывом кли­ентов, но поль­зовать­ся сей­час Telegram-ботом Get Contact — бес­полез­ная тра­та вре­мени.

«Глаз Бога»

Еще один популяр­ный бот, упо­минав­ший­ся в ряде недав­них жур­налист­ских пуб­ликаций. Бот обла­дает доволь­но‑таки обширным набором фун­кций: поиск по име­ни в прос­том тек­сто­вом фор­мате, по номеру авто­моби­ля, по номеру телефо­на, по адре­су элек­трон­ной поч­ты, по наз­ванию юри­дичес­кого лица или ИНН.

Telegram-бот «Глаз Бога»

Для отправ­ки команд бот тре­бует под­писать­ся на собс­твен­ный канал, но даже это не гаран­тиру­ет резуль­тата. По телефо­ну «Глаз Бога» выда­ет наз­вание опе­рато­ра и его реги­он (видимо, для тех, кто не уме­ет опре­делять эти дан­ные на глаз), воз­можное имя (я ввел нес­коль­ко телефон­ных номеров — име­на сов­пали). Еще он может най­ти поч­товые адре­са (веро­ятнее все­го, по базе адми­нис­тра­торов доменов), стра­ницу «ВКон­такте», акка­унт «Телег­рам», WhatsApp, чис­ло инте­ресо­вав­шихся пер­сонажем до тебя. Но эту информа­цию бот пре­дос­тавит за 30 руб­лей. То же самое каса­ется поис­ка по номеру авто­моби­ля: бес­плат­но бот показы­вает толь­ко реги­он (который мож­но опре­делить и так), а за трид­цатку пред­лага­ет ска­чать отчет «Авто­кода». При этом дан­ные об авто­моби­ле по его номеру при желании нет­рудно отыс­кать в этих ваших интерне­тах бес­плат­но.

Ес­ли ты вве­дешь адрес элек­трон­ной поч­ты, бот любез­но покажет тебе логин (до сим­вола @ ) и домен (пос­ле @ ) — это осо­бо цен­ная информа­ция! Так­же тебе пред­ложат купить адрес при­вязан­ной к это­му мылу стра­нич­ки «ВКон­такте» и свя­зан­ные с email пароли из какой‑то сли­той базы. По име­ни бот ищет толь­ко номер телефо­на в задан­ном реги­оне, находит неп­равиль­ный и для его прос­мотра пред­лага­ет купить под­писку.

В общем и целом поль­за от это­го бота показа­лась мне весь­ма сом­нитель­ной: инфу, которую «Глаз Бога» отда­ет бес­плат­но, мож­но при желании нагуг­лить и без него, а плат­ная информа­ция скуд­на и не всег­да дос­товер­на.

The other day, I came to my server and Sidekick was offline, Even though at other servers he was on, It’s been days already and he didn’t come back, What happened ?

I am having the same problem. Sidekick is currently offline (on my server (RobsWorld!). Problem was first noted (for me) on the 14th of Nov, 2020. I kicked the bot, and rejoined it to my server. After five minutes it came online, but it went offline less than 24 hours later, and it’s been offline ever since. I just kicked it off my server five minutes ago. After inviting sidekick, I greeted him (said ‘hi!’ w/direct message) but it’s still offline, and doesn’t respond to direct messages.

I tried restarting Discord, Kicking the bot from the server, rejoining it, giving it permissions, direct messaging it, nothing seems to help.

Alright — Another update. Very odd things happening on Discord. Several friends dropped off completely, no long visible as Offline; including Sidekick. I deleted Sidekick from my server, then re-invited him (again), I got a response that said ‘Authorized’, but he’s not visible (not online of offline). I quit Discord and restarted it, but that didn’t help. I quit Discord, tried authorizing Sidekick again, received confirmation (green check mark ‘Authorized’), restarted Discord, but he’s still not visible in the members list. As a matter of fact, another bot (Dice Maiden) is also missing from my members list (I didn’t kick it, it just vanished). Very strange activity (at

0300 mountain time).

I usually cringe when I see people re-authorizing the bot, because architecturally my guess would be that bot authorization and message delivery are entirely different subsystems. And because message delivery on a large scale is for Discord a much harder problem than the bot authorization, but it has next to zero visibility. For instance, no stats on delivery failures. So that’s an instance of «what’s focal is causal». (Reminds me that there are now some interesting ideas on how to publish such statistics and graphics from our bot)

We didn’t have any evidence so far that the authorization in Discord is getting lost.

As for the disconnected shards, yeah, that’s a problem we’re working on:

Just got back from work

1530 mountain time. I started Discord, but I still don’t see Sidekick in my list of friends/joined to my server. The authorization must have gotten lost. I’ll try Authorizing the bot again.

I quit Discord, then navigated to this link: https://discordapp.com/oauth2/authorize?&client_id=209040908673482753&scope=bot&permissions=0 The Discord authorization dialog (for sidekick) appeared, I selected my server ‘RobsWorld!’, then clicked ‘Authorize’. I got the ‘Authorized’ notification (see screen capture),
After authorization indicated, I restarted Discord (on my iMac running macOS Catalina (version 10.15.7 (19H15)). Approximately

1528MST and there’s still no Discord in the list of users joined to the server (see screen capture) or friends. I can’t direct message or command Sidekick.

I checked again at

1530MST, and now Sidekick appears as joined to the server (still not listed in friends), but the bot is still ‘Offline’. I was able to Direct Message the bot from there, and the command worked (I rolled a d10 and got a result), then the bot showed up in my list of friends.

I tried issuing a «/r 1d10» command in the ‘general-ingame’ channel (under TEXT CHANNELS category), but Sidekick won’t respond to that, and it’s still ‘Offline’ (at appx

1559MST). Notably, Dice Maiden was also missing from Server and friends list, but it’s back in both; awake/active/online on the server.

I’m still having the same problem (It’s approximately 1630MST). I’ve been unable to use Sidekick since the 14th of Nov. I’ve restarted Discord, kicked Sidekick, reauthorized sidekick, all multiple times with negative results. Sidekick is present on my server, but the bot is offline, and I can’t seem to make it wake up. I can send it direct messages, and it answers (rolls dice), but it’s not listening to any of the channels where it has permissions. Restarted my computer, but that didn’t make a difference. Tried removing all permissions (from the bot), and reassigning them. That didn’t make a difference. Server name is: RobsWorld!, number is: 698888154819723275 (Server Region: US South). Changed the Server Region to: US West, but that didn’t make a difference. Restarted Discord application (again), the Server Region stuck (still US West), but Sidekick is still offline.

SideKick is Back!

I got up this morning (20 Nov, 2020) at 0300MST, and discovered that my computer was offline. Apparently XFinity was addressing some unspecified, unplanned outage. According to my logs, the outage lasted from

0001 — 0349MST. Just as I was about to head downstairs for a workout, I fired up Discord to check on the Sidekick bot — Guess What! Sidekick is Awake, and responding to commands on my server. So that was a six day outage for me. I hope LuizT7, originator of this thread is also seeing a living breathing Sidekick as well. I think I’ll leave my server on Region West for now. No reason to change that now that Sidekick is back up and running. Thanks to all those who worked to restore Sidekick’s vitality. Long live Sidekick!

Ouch. I’m experimenting with using the remaining field in https://discord.com/developers/docs/topics/gateway#get-gateway-bot, but it’s jumpy, we’re loosing connectivity before we go out of remaining . Will try with slowing down dead shard reconnects at a longer disntance

Also seeing the same behavior of Sidekick being stuck offline (noticed just a few minutes ago, hadn’t tried it in the last week).
