Vac ban your friends не работает

Hey, so I was playing a casual with a guy, and he was always spamming the following message: «[His Name] left the game (VAC banned)» just like when a guy disconnects, a message pops up saying he disconnected.

How did he do that? He keept playing after spamming those messages though

i remember when on starcraft people would do something similar while in a match.

spam bunch of spaces in your message then type nuclear launch detected

The way this works is that 1 line is 60 characters, and 60 — gh is 58, so you need 58 spaces got it to be on on the next line.

How did he do that? He keept playing after spamming those messages though

He puts enough spaces so that it’s on the next row. Basically it’s
«x: lol
x has been etc.»

he used the command sm_me

It looks like this:
sm_me has left the game [VAC banned from secure server

sm_me is like the say command but it removes that colon thing so for me it would look like this:
Ringo has left the game [VAC banned from secure servers]

Many users come to the forums thinking they have a VAC ban, when they actually do not.

If you genuinely have a VAC ban, then you (and other users) will be able to see it on your profile:

When you try to join a VAC secured server you will received the following warning:

To see which games your VAC ban affects, please launch Steam and go to Steam > Settings > Account tab > select «Click here for details» under VAC Status.

If these are all clean, then you can relax – you are not VAC banned.

There are common issues with VAC that will kick you from a server; but which do not constitute a VAC ban.

Both are easily fixed.

Usually means that Windows‘ Data Execution Prevention (DEP) is blocking VAC from launching. You need to whitelist steam and its related executables; or set DEP to only protect Windows‘ system files.

Alternatively, it means antivirus / firewall / virtual machine software is preventing VAC from launching or accessing the Internet — add Steam files to their exclusion lists.

Using Steam Achievement Manager (SAM) to hack your achivements while you are connected to a VAC secured server will get you VAC banned.

Don’t use third-party applications to hack VAC secured games. Read the «what do I do now?» section in order to get back on VAC secured servers.

Using SAM without being connected to a VAC secured server won’t get you banned
Read the instructions properly, and you’ll be fine.
But hacking achievements is still a childish and stupid thing to do.

Connecting to an achievement unlocking server won’t get you banned.
Because it’s not a third-party application running on your account; so of course it won’t get you banned.
If you’re going to use the server browser, simply avoid maps with achievement in the title anyway.

VAC uses a delayed ban system

Which means that bans occur days, weeks, maybe even months after the cheating infraction causes an account to be flagged.

It doesn’t matter what you were doing when you were banned; what matters is the cheating that was detected days, weeks, months before the ban actually comes into effect.

As explained above – the triggering event for the VAC ban happens potentially days before the player receives the ban itself.

Doesn’t matter how many people reported you, if you weren’t cheating then those reports would just be ignored.

There are no VAC staff who manually oversee or authorise bans.

VAC isn’t banning people for ‘anything that looks a bit suspicious’; it bans users for the presence of known hacks and modifications to a game’s core executable files and dynamic link libraries. — ibid.

The following will not trigger a VAC ban:
Using chat programs like X-Fire or Overwolf
System hardware configurations
Updated system drivers, such as video card drivers — ibid.

These are quickly identified and quickly rectified:

COD:MW2 getting a DLL patched while the game was running; running TF2 through a Linux compatibility layer (which is redundant now that TF2 is available on Linux); and other such exceptional circumstances effecting significant groups of people are materially different to lone individuals on the forum insisting they «didna do nuffin’!».

No-one wants to play with cheaters. We don’t care whether you’re the one who cheated, or whether you let someone else cheat. If removing your account from VAC secured games stops someone, anyone, from cheating in them; then that’s a good thing.

Sharing accounts is against Steam’s Terms-of-Service anyway, for what it’s worth.

Will I be punished if someone sharing my Library cheats?

Your Family Sharing privileges may be revoked and your account may also be VAC banned if your library is used by others to cheat. Additionaly, VAC-banned games cannot be shared between accounts. We recommend you only authorize Steam Accounts and computers you know to be secure, and as always, never give out your password to anyone or share your account. — Steam Support

Although this generally shouldn’t have any impact on TF2; sharing a Free-To-Play game is pointless.

In the past Steam Support would sometimes unban users whose accounts were reclaimed in the period between the hacker using it to cheat on, and the ban actually landing.

Since the introduction of things like Steam Guard’s two-factor protection, users have instead been told that account security is the user’s responsibility:

Follow the steps listed in the Steam Support article «Account Security Recommendations».

Most (but not all) hijacked accounts are solely down to negligence on the part of the owner.

No-one who reads the forums or who’ll look at your profile can unban you; and only a minority of gullible fools will take your word over a VAC infraction recorded on your profile.

This isn’t something you can ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ your way out of.

Cheating defeats the entire purpose of playing the game, and it’s an incredibly ♥♥♥♥♥♥ thing to do to other players.
Your «reasons» are going to be self-serving tosh; quit trying to justify bad behaviour to make yourself feel better, and instead start thinking about how to be a better person.

Again, we can’t unban you – and the people whose forgiveness you need are those whose game experience you ruined by cheating.
The best thing you can do now is to shut up and keep out of the way of legitimate players.

No-one reading the Steam forums has the power or the authority to revoke a VAC ban.
There is absolutely no point in begging us to do so.

Even Steam Support cannot revoke VAC bans:

Some accounts have been unbanned in the past.
Long ago, VAC bans were temporary. People who received temporary VAC bans will have had those bans eventually expire. A lot of those people just went right back to cheating on those accounts, though. Which is why Valve changed their policy to make VAC bans permanent.

Cybercafés have been able to get their accounts unbanned, for obvious reasons.

People who were caught up in the (rare) cases of mass-bannings [en.wikipedia.org] occuring due to a false-positive had their bans automatically removed.

These are probably not reasons that will apply to anyone reading this guide; and do not qualify as a precedent for getting your ban removed.

There are some exceptions; notably the following:

Cheating in one of the following Source games or a Source mod will result in a VAC ban for all games in the list below:

Counter-Strike: Source
Half-Life 2: Deathmatch
Day of Defeat: Source
Team Fortress 2

Similarly, cheating in one of the following Gold Source games will result in a VAC ban for all games in the list below:

Aside from those exceptions, you can continue playing on other VAC secured games without a problem.

You can, of course, still play on VAC unsecured servers even if you have been VAC banned for that game:
To find non VAC-secured servers, from the Steam main menu click on View, select Servers, then select Not secure in the Anti-cheat dropdown. — ibid

You lost that priviledge when you decided to let your account be used for cheating.

To work around this problem, you will need to create a clean account.

Don’t cheat on your new account!
This should be obvious, but you got VAC banned for a reason.

To prevent additional bans on your account, please remove all cheats from your computer before playing on VAC secured servers. If you do not know how or where the cheats were installed, you may want to consider reformatting your hard drive(s) and starting over with a fresh installation of your operating system. — Steam Support

Associate your account with a DIFFERENT PHONE NUMBER!

VAC bans will be applied to all accounts sharing a phone number at the time of the infraction. Accounts that do not own the game the VAC ban is for will still receive a VAC ban and won’t be able to purchase the game moving forward.

The phone number on the VAC banned account(s) will be suspended for three months and cannot be added to another account during this time. If the phone number is later added to an account that receives a VAC ban, the duration of its suspension will be extended.

Note: This feature is not enabled for all games and is used at the discretion of the developer. — ibid

Items and games cannot be moved from a VAC banned account to a different account, however, new games can still be purchased and registered on a VAC banned account. — ibid.

If the mod comes off Steam Workshop, you should be fine.
If the mod doesn’t require you to overwrite *.DLL files & if the mod doesn’t require you to overwrite or run an executable (usually .exe) file, you should be fine.
If the mod goes into TF2’s «custom» folders and just sits there, you should be fine.

The following will not trigger a VAC ban:

Using chat programs like X-Fire or Overwolf
System hardware configurations
Updated system drivers, such as video card drivers — Steam Support

If the program doesn’t replace the game’s .exe or .dll files;
If the program isn’t injected into memory;
If it’s mainstream, popular, and *you can’t use it to cheat*;
chances are it will be fine.
